Images play an enormous half in our journey lives. It’s unbelievable to have the ability to expertise a rustic, tradition, meals and other people and have these reminiscences in our minds. It’s much more unbelievable to have nice images of the issues we see and accomplish that we are able to look again on them each time we select.
This 12 months took us by China, Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, England and eventually…residence to Canada. We’ve gone by our bazillion or so images and chosen a few of our favourites to take you on a journey by our 12 months of journey.
January – July (China)
A beautiful lady we met within the Previous City, Yangzhou, China.
We went to Shanghai many occasions…such an superior skyline!
We went to the close by metropolis of Suzhou for an extended weekend away. Bikes, bicycles and avenue distributors are discovered throughout China!
Lovely Yangzhou, China – our residence for a 12 months.
Vibrant blossoms have been discovered throughout China throughout March & April. We went to Hangzhou for just a few days to see these beauties.
A really pleasant Chinese language man that we met throughout our journey to Hangzhou.
We ate so many dumplings throughout our 12 months in China! Not solely are they scrumptious, however they’re low cost.
July – August (Mongolia)
We spent 6 days within the Gobi Desert and beloved it. Watching the solar set over these attractive dunes was a spotlight.

We trekked independently in Mongolia for eight days. This was considered one of our campsites for the night time…with double rainbows as a background!

August (Russia)
Tenting alongside the shores of Lake Baikal: the deepest, oldest and one of many clearest freshwater lakes on this planet.
August – September (Kazakhstan)

September (Kyrgyzstan)
A standard Kyrgyz yurt.
A Three day horse trek to Lake Music-Kul. Us on the 3,000m excessive cross.
Wanting again down the valley throughout our Three day trek from Karakol to Altyn Arashan.
At 3,560m the Ala-Kul Lake was gorgeous.

September – October (Tajikistan)

October (Uzbekistan)

November – December (Iran)

Our second go to to London was simply nearly as good as the primary again in 2011.
December – January (Canada)
Merry Christmas from Canada!
This was such a unbelievable 12 months for the 2 of us! Since being residence in Canada, we’ve been so “go, go, go” that we haven’t actually had an opportunity to replicate on this 5 month journey that we simply undertook. Going by all of those images actually helped the fact of it sink in.
We thank everybody for following our journey this 12 months, commenting on our articles and giving us constructive criticism. We actually respect it. We have now a lot of plans for 2014, so stick round to see what we stand up to!
