Unions have referred to as on authorities to announce a monetary package deal to avoid wasting the beleaguered aviation business as Swissport prepares to put off hundreds of employees.
GMB and Unite, the 2 unions representing Swissport employees, described a call to chop 4,556 jobs as “devastating information”.
Swissport is the most important floor handler within the UK, dealing with flights coming into almost each regional airport throughout the UK.
